A husband a wife were at church listening to the preacher talk about faith.

“If you have the faith of but a mustard seed, you will move mountains…”

After arriving home, the wife said to the husband, “I find all that talk about faith so interesting. Do you think it’s true?”

“Sure do,” her husband replied.

“Ok then, I’m going to give it a shot,” she said, wandering over to the front window. Outside in the distance was a small hill that had always been an eyesore to her. “If all it takes is a mustard seed to move an entire mountain, surely I can get that awful hill gone by morning.”

“I don’t see why not!” her husband replied. “You heard the minister today — anything’s possible.” And with that, she determined to have the hill gone by morning.

The next day she awoke and wandered to the window, pulling the curtains back. The hill was still there.

“Ah,” she said, “I knew it wouldn’t work.”
