The mysteries of Egypt are well documented, and it’s not surprising that many, if not all, of these mysteries still linger.

While Egyptologists continue to influence mainstream belief, the truth remains that there is much to be proven. What this allows for is an honest exploration by the layman, left to his own devices.

And while we the people may not have all of the information to properly discuss such matters, as academics would surely argue, I wouldn’t hesitate to flip that very statement back on them. A mystery, after all, is a mystery.

Listed below are five fascinating theories with regard to the great pyramid. Some of them have appeared in channeled texts, while others have emerged from independent research as well as academic sources. Try and keep an open mind!

Questioner: … Were you responsible for the building of the pyramid, and what was the purpose of the pyramid?

Ra: I am Ra. The larger pyramids were built by our ability using the forces of One. The stones are alive. It has not been so understood by the mind/body/spirit distortions of your culture. The purposes of the pyramids were two:

Firstly, to have a properly oriented place of initiation for those who wished to become purified or initiated channels for the Law of One.

Two, we wished then to carefully guide the initiates in developing a healing of the people whom they sought to aid and the planet itself. Pyramid after pyramid charged by the crystal and initiate were designed to balance the incoming energy of the One Creation with the many and multiple distortions of the planetary mind/body/spirit.

“…only the Great Pyramid has a flat surface on top. That missing piece is not little. It’s about 24 feet square at the base. If you get on top, it’s a huge platform. This flat area is actually a landing platform for a very special airship that exists on Earth.”

“They’re slated (stars of Orion’s Belt) along a diagonal in a south-westerly direction relative to the axis of the Milky Way and the pyramids are slanted along a diagonal in south-westerly direction relative to the axis of the Nile. If you look carefully on a clear night you’ll also see that the smallest of the three stars, the one at the top which the Arabs call Mintaka, is slightly offset to the east of the principal diagonal formed by the other two. This pattern is mimicked on the ground where we see that the Pyramid of Menkaure  is offset by exactly the right amount to east of the principal diagonal formed by the Pyramid of Khafre (which represents the middle star) and the Great Pyramid, which represents the last . It’s really quite obvious that all of these monuments were laid out according to a unified site plan that was modeled with extraordinary precision on those three stars. What they did at Giza was to build Orion’s belt on the ground.” 

• Mainstream belief: the pyramid was built as a tomb for Fourth Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu and was constructed over a 20-year period by hundreds of thousands of people using wooden rollers and levers, plaited flax rope to drag the mega blocks, and hardened copper chisels, and stone tools to shape them into perfect alignment. 

Dr. Joseph West of Indiana State University, however, suggests the builders strapped three round wooden beams to each side of the stone block to “transform the square prism into a dodecagon which can then be moved more easily by rolling than by dragging.” 

“The pyramids, the huge boulders etched out.  All of this was done in one way or another through the use of a knowledge of both coordination points in space and the use of sound. There were instruments that released sound, and directed it in the same way, say, that a laser beam does with light.

The pyramids exist as other than physical matter, but it is only as physical matter that you perceive them.  There are several important issues connected with the pyramids that are not as yet understood.  The symbols upon them often were meant to be sounded.  The sound setting up reverberations.  Some of those would automatically open up many doors, leading to as yet undiscovered secrets – but only for those who understood the use of sound.”

What remains true today is that the Great pyramid still holds many secrets. Some of these secrets (and certainly some theories) may be hard to believe since they go well beyond the scope of what most would consider realistic. 

The difficulty is that life itself, in general terms, follows the same lines.

There are simply too many questions, and not enough answers – only theories. Pundits and academics will argue, and will continue to substantiate their theories with whatever proof they purport to possess.

In the end, however, questions will remain. And as long as questions remain, nothing is certain.
